My Thoughts
I read this right after finishing the Percy Jackson series. I knew going into it that the different short stories were meant to be read BEFORE completing the series, but I figured it would be fine to read afterwards. I was kind of right and kind of wrong. I knew all the characters which was fine, but I also had a bit of a skewed timeline because I read the short stories that occurred before the final outcome of the last book.
Overall it was a great companion read to the Percy Jackson series. It continues in the world that I love, and many more people love. It gives readers a chance to not have to let go of the stories and characters we love so quickly.
If you love the Percy Jackson series I would definitely recommend this book if you love the series. The stories, though short are amazingly written and don’t feel rushed.
You can definitely tell this novella/short story collection is aimed at the younger audience with the inclusion of a crossword and word search as well as pictures of the Gods and Heroes and information about them.
