2019 Book Bucket List

I honestly cannot believe that we are in the last 90 days of 2019! This year has been a big one filled with so many happy moments and so many books!
I really made a dent in my TBR and have managed to read a fair amount of books.

There are some books though, that I want to prioritise for the rest of the year and really get into before we chime in 2020.

1984 by George Orwell

Classics are something I struggle with but am still really interested in reading. 1984 has been on my TBR for two months now and I still haven’t picked it up, so I am hoping I get to it before 2020.

After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Taylor Jenkins Reid is a new discovery for me this year and I am determined to read all the books she has published up to this point.

Forever, Interrupted by Taylor Jenkins Reid

This is one of the two Taylor Jenkins Reid books that I plan to read this year!

This is Where it Ends by Marieke Nijkamp

I am so late to the party on this one I know, but I’ve only recently gotten into reading anything in the contemporary sphere and I am interested to see how this book examines such a dividing topic.

Radio Silence by Alice Oseman

Honestly, I’m not even certain what Radio Silence is about, I think it has something to do with a radio station. I’ve heard so many good things about it though that I know I want to read.

Ninth House by Leigh Badrugo

Ninth House is so far out of my sphere of comfort. I don’t think I have ever read a book like it but it was one that I knew I wanted to try. I know its a new release and I have a hundred other books on my shelf that I should prioritise but I’m not, so here we are.

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

Not only am I finishing off books in series that I started this year but I also want to set myself up for some series to read in 2020. The Shades of Magic Series is one that I really want to get too.

Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas

Tower of Dawn is my current read, so its one that I know I will finish this year!

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas

This series is HUGE and this book is a tome, but I am determined to finish it off in 2019, I started Throne of Glass in December of 2018 so it will be a feat I feel to complete it before 2020. I am so ready to see how this epic series ends.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling

Every year I complete a reread of Harry Potter. I absolutely love the series no matter how many times I read them. This year I am doing an audio re read and listening to the books narrated by Stephen Fry.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling

I cannot wait to get to Deathly Hallows. I feel like I always forget things from the last book in the Harry Potter series and end up rediscovering things I love!

Flashback by Shannon Messenger

This series is amazing! It has got to be hands down one of my favourites. Every book has had me smiling, laughing and crying like a hot mess. I cannot wait to see what Flashback has in store.

Legacy by Shannon Messenger

Even though this is a new release (being released in November) and I will have to wait who knows how long for the next book in the series, I don’t think I could wait knowing I can read Legacy this year.

The Ship of the Dead by Rick Riordan

Rick Riordan is definitely one of my all time favourite authors, but I just haven’t gotten to this last instalment in the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series.

The Tyrant’s Tomb by Rick Riordan

Yet another new release and yet another Rick Riordan book. Greek mythology is my jam and following Apollo has been so enjoyable that its been hard not to pick up The Tyrants Tomb right now!

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

The Grisha trilogy is another series that I want to set myself up to complete in 2020, I have just put it off and put it off and I couldn’t even tell you why!

Skyward by Brandon Sanderson

Brandon Sanderson is an author that I’ve heard nothing but good things about so I know that I need to get to this book as soon as I can before jumping into the Mistborn trilogy.
